Job summary

M-Sport UK at Dovenby Hall is seeking an Engine Parts Assistant to support preparation and delivery of high-performance competition engines. You will work with Engine Builders, Engineers, Stores and Quality Control to manage and prepare engine components for builds and servicing.

The role requires attention to detail, strong organisation, teamwork and good IT skills; previous experience in automotive or motorsport stock control is preferred.

Qualifications

• Excellent attention to detail when handling precision-engineered components.
• Strong organisational skills to manage parts and workloads.
• Good verbal and written communication with technicians and engineers.
• Understanding of quality, cleanliness and accuracy in high-performance engines.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Parts Preparation: Assist with the preparation, identification and organisation of engine components ready for engine builds and servicing activities.
• Parts Management: Ensure engine parts are correctly identified, stored and maintained, supporting accurate stock control and traceability.
• Documentation: Ensure relevant paperwork, component records and documentation are completed accurately and maintained as required.
• Stock Control: Support regular stock checks and assist with maintaining accurate records of engine components and consumable items.
• Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Work closely with Stores, Purchasing, Quality Control, Engineering and other departments to ensure required components are available when needed.
• Continuous Improvement: Support the Engine team in identifying opportunities to improve processes, efficiency and working practices.
