Job summary

Rolls-Royce in Derby is seeking a Physical Logistics Operator to support the Operations team, moving engines, modules and tooling through the service process, coordinating storage and movement.

The role requires a valid FLT licence, strong teamwork, high organisation, and attention to safety and quality; you will participate in loading/unloading, preservation checks and ensure efficient logistics.

Qualifications

• A Valid Forklift Truck (FLT) licence and experience operating lifting equipment.
• Strong teamworking and communication across Operations and Engineering teams.
• Highly organised and reliable, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks in a busy operational environment.
• Good logistics and material-handling skills, including loading/unloading, movement and storage of engines, modules and tooling.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to health, safety and quality, with the ability to follow processes and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Logistics support; including receipt and despatch of engines, modules and tooling, and moving engines between the EOS shop and Test Beds.
• Management of on-site tooling storage, including kitting sets prior to engine induction and providing a supply of tools ad-hoc throughout strip, repair and build.
• Coordination and completion of logistics related tasks to support in-shop engine services, including engine and non-module wash.
• General assistance to the Operations team to enable engine tasks to be completed efficiently including loading/unloading, movement and bagging of engines including preservation checks.
