Job summary

Cummins in Daventry is seeking a Manufacturing Operator to join the Assembly team. The role is a 37.5-hour week with rotating shifts: mornings or afternoons, on-site in Daventry, Northamptonshire. It’s a temporary contract for up to 24 months with potential to become permanent based on performance.

You will assemble engines, adhere to takt times, maintain quality and safety, and work closely with the team to meet production goals. Training and a strong safety culture are emphasized.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent education.
• Some work experience or intermediate knowledge from education or on-the-job training.
• Ability to work under rotating shifts and meet takt times.

Responsibilities

• Assembling high horsepower natural gas and diesel engines.
• Working to the given takt time.
• Adapting to various tasks to support production goals.
• Maintaining quality and safety standards.
• Communicating effectively with team and support staff.
• Following quality procedures and performing inspections.
• Adhering to HSE standards and reporting hazards promptly.
• Keeping work area clean and performing routine maintenance.
