Job summary

Pertemps Education Network is seeking a Year 3 Class Teacher for a maternity cover starting January 2027 at a welcoming primary school in England. You will deliver engaging lessons across KS2, differentiate for diverse learners and support smooth pupil transition into Key Stage 2.

QTS is essential and you will work closely with staff, parents and safeguarding policies. The role requires strong safeguarding practice, excellent behaviour management and a proactive, reliable approach to planning

Qualifications

QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) is essential.
Experience teaching in a UK primary school.
Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum, with KS2 experience.
Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
Effective planning, assessment and differentiation skills.
Commitment to raising attainment and supporting all pupils.

Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons aligned to the KS2 National Curriculum.
Teach across the Year 3 curriculum: English, Maths, Science and foundation subjects.
Monitor pupil progress, assess attainment and address gaps.
Differentiate teaching to meet varying abilities including SEND.
Establish clear behaviour expectations and maintain a safe learning environment.
Support pupils' academic, social and emotional development.
Collaborate with colleagues, support staff and parents to promote pupil outcomes.
Adhere to safeguarding policies and maintain professional standards.
