Job summary

Disability North in Wallsend, North Tyneside, seeks a Personal Assistant to support our daughter who has learning difficulties and autism. The role involves accompanying her to activities, socialising, and planning outings with a creative, chatty companion.

The successful candidate will be friendly, bubbly, and able to drive conversation with her. Some personal care may be required; DBS and references are requested. Start ASAP; 14.05 GBP/hour; driving preferred but not essential.

Qualifications

• Friendly, chatty, bubbly person to assist our daughter.
• Must engage by asking questions and encouraging conversation.
• Car driver preferred but not essential.
• ASAP start; DBS and reference checks required.

Responsibilities

• Take our daughter to events and activities to socialise.
• Develop a 4-week plan of activities and weekly programme.
• Plan and run art/craft projects and visit places/events.
• Occasional personal care assistance.
• Driving may be preferred.
