Job summary

The Supply Register, in partnership with Birley Academy in Sheffield, is seeking a qualified Maths Teacher to deliver engaging lessons and support student progress across Key Stage 3 and 4. This flexible supply role offers weekly pay and ongoing CPD within a supportive school environment.

You should hold QTS or equivalent, have secondary Maths teaching experience, and demonstrate strong classroom and behaviour management. Enhanced DBS on the Update Service is preferred or achievable.

Qualifications

• Hold QTS or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching Maths at secondary level.
• Demonstrate strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Communicate effectively and professionally.
• Hold high expectations for student achievement and behaviour.
• Hold or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service.

Responsibilities

• Delivering high-quality Maths lessons in line with the national curriculum.
• Differentiating learning to meet the needs of all students.
• Maintaining a positive and well-managed classroom environment.
• Assessing, marking, and providing timely feedback.
• Managing behaviour in line with school expectations.
• Working collaboratively with department colleagues and wider school staff.
