Job summary

Teaching Personnel Cardiff is seeking a qualified Teacher of English with QTS to join a welcoming mainstream secondary school in the Vale of Glamorgan. The position starts ASAP and is suitable for an experienced English teacher or an NQT/ECT seeking a teaching role for the new academic year.

The successful candidate will teach English across KS3 and KS4, develop literacy and analytical skills, and work within a supportive English department to deliver high-quality lessons in line with Curriculum

Qualifications

• QTS is essential.
• Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) mandatory.
• Experience teaching English in a secondary school.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Commitment to pupil progress and achievement.
• Ability to plan and deliver engaging lessons.
• DBS on Update Service desirable.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging English lessons across KS3 and KS4.
• Teach English Language and Literature.
• Prepare pupils for GCSE examinations.
• Differentiate lessons for varying abilities.
• Maintain strong behaviour management.
• Assess and monitor pupil progress.
