Job summary

Teaching Personnel Cardiff is seeking a qualified Teacher of English with QTS to join a welcoming mainstream secondary school in the Vale of Glamorgan. The position is full-time/temporary, start ASAP, with a competitive daily rate and weekly pay.

You will deliver English to KS3 and KS4, support GCSE preparation, differentiate lessons, and collaborate with the English department to foster an inclusive learning environment in line with the Curriculum for Wales.

Qualifications

• QTS essential and EWC registration mandatory.
• Experience teaching English in a secondary school.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Current Enhanced DBS on Update Service desirable.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging English lessons across KS3 and KS4.
• Teach English Language and Literature.
• Prepare pupils for GCSE examinations.
• Differentiate lessons to meet varying abilities.
• Manage classroom behaviour effectively.
• Assess and monitor pupil progress.
• Collaborate with the English department and school team.
• Support safeguarding and curriculum adherence.
