Job summary

Outwood Academy Danum in Doncaster is seeking a proactive Cover Supervisor to supervise classes during teacher absences and ensure continuity of learning. You will implement pre-set work and support colleagues to maintain a positive learning environment across subjects.

The role requires strong communication, confidentiality, and ICT skills, with experience in schools desirable and a commitment to safeguarding students. 35 hours weekly, term-time plus 5 days.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate with a wide range of audiences and maintain confidentiality.
• Proficient in standard ICT packages, including Microsoft Office.
• Excellent time management and organisational skills.
• Able to relate well to students and recognise safeguarding issues.

Responsibilities

• Supervise whole classes during short-term teacher absence and implement pre-set work.
• Manage student behaviour according to the Consequences Policy to maintain a constructive environment.
• Assist in preparing the environment and materials, respond to questions, and collect completed work.
• Record lesson attendance, supervise entry/exit, and assist with exam invigilation as needed.
