Job summary

Shustoke CofE Primary School is seeking an enthusiastic primary teacher to join our team. You will deliver lessons in line with the National Curriculum, ensure pupils progress through structured planning and assessment, and uphold safeguarding and Health & Safety policies.

You will continue to meet the requirements for Qualified Teacher Status and contribute to a supportive, collaborative school ethos, engaging with families and staff to promote high standards of learning.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Foundation Stage and National Curriculum.
• Understanding of the Agreed Syllabus for Religious Education.
• Awareness of how pupil development affects learning.
• Familiarity with school policies including Health and Safety and Child Protection.

Responsibilities

• Carry out duties of a school teacher in line with the School Teachers Pay and Conditions and Teachers’ Standards.
• Meet requirements for Qualified Teacher Status.
• Plan and deliver suitable lessons with structure, pace and challenge.
• Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to support attainment.
• Maintain a safe classroom environment and report safeguarding concerns promptly.
• Establish effective working relationships with colleagues and parents.
