Quantum Care is hiring an Activity Care Assistant at Beane River View in Hertford. The role involves providing compassionate, person-centred care to residents and planning engaging activities to support independence.

No prior care home experience is necessary if you have empathy, a positive attitude and good communication skills. Shifts include weekends and Bank Holidays; full-time, 37 hours per week.

Qualifications

• No previous care home experience required if you are empathetic with good communication.
• Able to care for older people with compassion and respect to meet their physical, emotional and social needs.
• Induction training and ongoing development opportunities provided.
• Shift pattern includes weekends, evenings and Bank Holidays; 18+ years old required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organise and deliver a variety of engaging activities and social events for residents.
• Utilise computer and resources to plan and inform families about resident activities.
• Work with the care team to tailor activities to residents' needs (physical, emotional, cognitive).
• Encourage residents to pursue hobbies and personal goals; create a stimulating, safe environment.
• Support special events and seasonal activities; ensure compliance with health and safeguarding policies.
