Job summary

The City of Wolverhampton Council is seeking a proactive Participation Officer to foster meaningful engagement across Children's and Adult Services. You will facilitate forums, support consultation events, and ensure service user feedback informs decisions and service design to improve outcomes.

Working with children, young people, families and community groups, you will recruit participants, build relationships with local organisations, and adapt activities to include diverse voices, including

Qualifications

• Passion for participation and co-production.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to facilitate meetings with diverse groups and communities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain participation opportunities across Children’s and Adult Services.
• Support children, young people, adults and families to express their views.
• Facilitate participation groups (e.g., Children’s in Care Council, Youth Council).
• Work with commissioning teams to embed service-user participation.
• Support consultation exercises and community forums.
• Gather and share feedback to improve services.
