Job summary

Elysium Healthcare is seeking an Activities Co-Ordinator at Reene House in Newport. You will create activity-based programmes, deliver engaging social, recreational and leisure activities, and build 1-1 and group rapports to support treatment plans.

You will work within a multidisciplinary team to link with community resources, promote care, training opportunities, and ensure a safe, person-centred activity programme that enhances daily living for service users.

Qualifications

• 12 months experience in a mental health setting (Desirable).
• Ability to communicate effectively within a team.
• Initiative and motivation to drive activities.
• Awareness of gender and cultural needs of service users.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate social and recreational activities for service users who cannot access public services.
• Gather information on service users' interests.
• Observe behaviour and report progress to the team.
• Document observations in the service users' clinical notes.
• Follow service policies, guidelines and procedures.
• Perform basic day-to-day risk assessments.
• Maintain health, safety, welfare and security standards.
• Coordinate resources effectively.
