Job summary

Bristow & Sutor is recruiting an Enforcement Agent to operate in Portsmouth and surrounding towns, including Southampton, Fareham, and Chichester. You will visit customers at their homes or businesses to negotiate recoveries, take payments, and set up arrangements while following regulations.

The role offers a competitive base salary (£26,441–£28,460) with ambitious earnings (£40,000–£65,000), a company car and fuel card, smartphone, full training, pension, life assurance, and diverse benefits.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Confident handling of sensitive conversations.
• Calm, firm and fair while pursuing targets.
• Excellent time management and self-organisation.
• Ability to talk to anyone and listen as much as you speak.
• Hold a full UK manual driving licence.
• Free of CCJs and criminal record.

Responsibilities

• Visit customers' homes and businesses to collect debts.
• Negotiate to maximise successful recoveries.
• Take payments, set up payment arrangements and assist with income questionnaires.
• Take control of goods when necessary, following regulations.
• Maintain accurate case notes, visit reports and payment records.
• Identify vulnerability and refer to appropriate support pathways.
