Job summary

bp is seeking a Trading Operator in the United Kingdom to manage the operational execution of energy trading transactions from deal conclusion through to completion. You will coordinate logistics, oversee contractual obligations, manage operational risks and support commercial performance.

Responsibilities

• Complete physical and financial trades in accordance with established trading strategies and company policies.
• Manage ancillary costs effectively, identifying and implementing opportunities for cost optimization.
• Monitor market sentiment and trends, providing timely insights to traders and optimizing trade execution.
• Ensure rigorous adherence to trade field and compliance standards, mitigating operational risks.
• Coordinate and manage shipping and transport logistics for commodities, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
• Conduct marine assurance activities to minimize operational disruptions and ensure safety standards.
• Collaborate with internal and external partners, including traders, schedulers, and logistics providers, to optimize the trading and scheduling operational workflow.
• Proactively identify and troubleshoot operational issues, implementing effective solutions to minimize impact.
• Negotiate favorable terms with counterparties and service providers to enhance commercial value.
