Job summary

Vallum Associates is seeking a senior Analysis Manager to lead a team of Business Analysts within the Energy Trading Technology space. London-based with hybrid working, you will shape the BA function, challenge requirements, and drive capability across trading platforms and transformations.

You will balance commercial urgency with risk controls, coach the team, and engage with senior stakeholders to ensure high-quality deliverables and sustainable technology delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a BA team in energy trading/commodities.
• Proven ability to coach and raise team performance.
• Hands-on BA experience in energy trading environments.
• Strong stakeholder management across Trading, Risk & Tech.
• Experience with ETRM platforms and vendor engagement.

Responsibilities

• Directly manage and develop a team of Business Analysts.
• Set objectives, conduct performance reviews and career development.
• Build and standardise BA capability across Trading Technology.
• Establish BA standards, tools, governance and ways of working.
• Allocate work across the team to balance priorities and delivery capacity.
• Review requirements, designs and BA artefacts for quality and consistency.
• Support recruitment and ongoing capability development of BAs.
• Collaborate with senior stakeholders across Trading, Risk, Operations and Tech.
