Job summary

Vallum Associates seeks a Business Analyst for Utilities Markets to gather, analyze and document requirements from utility stakeholders. You will translate needs into functional specs, BRDs/FRDs and user stories, and support UAT planning.

You will work with product owners, QA, and technical teams, perform gap analyses, process mapping, and ensure regulatory governance. Experience with DAM, IDM, Balancing, and energy lifecycle is preferred.

Qualifications

Experience gathering and documenting business requirements for utility stakeholders.
Ability to create BRDs, FRDs, user stories, and test scenarios.
Experience with UAT planning, execution, and defect resolution.
Knowledge of regulatory frameworks and governance standards.

Responsibilities

Gather, analyze, and document business requirements from utility stakeholders.
Work closely with business users, product owners, and technical teams to translate requirements into functional specifications.
Conduct gap analysis, process mapping, and impact assessment for market-related initiatives.
Support implementation and enhancement of utility market systems and processes.
Facilitate workshops, stakeholder discussions, and requirement elicitation sessions.
Create BRDs, FRDs, user stories, process flows, and test scenarios.
Collaborate with QA teams for UAT planning, execution, and defect resolution.
Ensure compliance with utility industry regulations, market rules, and governance standards.
Support change management activities and business process improvements.
