Job summary

Lane Clark & Peacock LLP is inviting applications for the Energy Modelling & Technology Development Summer Internship 2027 in London. You will learn to code in C#, undertake an independent software development and/or data analysis project, and gain insight from energy experts to understand energy data and datasets.

Regular training and on-the-job coaching accompany projects expanding your skills. Ideal candidates are studying a numerical degree, aiming for a 2:1, with A Level Maths and a knack

Your Role:

The type of work you can expect to be involved in as a summer student:

• Learning to code in C#, taking on an independent project involving software development and/or data analysis
• Leveraging the expertise of our energy experts to build an understanding of energy data
• Investigating and analysing complex datasets
• Engaging with modern software development practices such as workflow management, code reviews, branching and merging, testing
• Expanding skills and knowledge through regular trainingand on-the-job coaching

What We're Looking For:

• A Level Maths A Grade
• Studying for a Degree in a Numerical subject and on track to achieve a 2:1
• Technology skills – some prior coding experience, whether that is self-taught or through structured learning and comfortable using Microsoft Office
• Competence with Microsoft Excel and data analysis
• Problem solving, numeracy and analytical skills
• An interest in the energy transition and an awareness of topical issues
