LCP is an award-winning actuarial and analytics consultancy helping clients in energy, insurance, pensions and health through data-driven insights. As a summer student in LCP Delta's energy team, you will learn to code in C#, work on an independent project, and leverage energy data with our experts.

You will gain hands-on experience, receive regular training, and be exposed to real projects that support the energy transition and the needs of diverse clients.

Qualifications

• A Level Maths with A grade.
• Pursuing a numerate degree with 2:1 expected.
• Some prior coding experience and Excel/data analysis skills.

Your Role:

The type of work you can expect to be involved in as a summer student:

• Learning to code in C#, taking on an independent project involving software development and/or data analysis
• Leveraging the expertise of our energy experts to build an understanding of energy data
• Investigating and analysing complex datasets
• Engaging with modern software development practices such as workflow management, code reviews, branching and merging, testing
• Expanding skills and knowledge through regular training and on-the-job coaching

What We're Looking For:

• A Level Maths A Grade
• Studying for a Degree in a Numerical subject and on track to achieve a 2:1
• Technology skills - some prior coding experience, whether that is self-taught or through structured learning and comfortable using Microsoft Office
• Competence with Microsoft Excel and data analysis
• Problem solving, numeracy and analytical skills
• Good communication skills
• An interest in the energy transition and an awareness of topical issues
