Job summary

GreenJobs Ltd is seeking an Energy Consultant to join its Sustainability & Building Performance team. You will deliver energy modelling and building performance analysis across various project types, collaborating with engineers and designers to optimise high-performance buildings.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years’ experience, hands-on IES VE expertise and a genuine interest in sustainable design. Flexible, hybrid working arrangements are offered.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in energy modelling, building performance or related environment.
• Hands-on IES VE experience is essential for this position.
• Interest in developing a career in sustainable design and building performance.
• Experience with energy regulations and compliance would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Conduct energy modelling and building performance analysis using IES VE.
• Develop and maintain dynamic thermal models to inform design decisions.
• Support overheating assessments and thermal comfort analyses.
• Assist with energy efficiency and low-carbon design strategies.
• Analyse results and identify opportunities to improve building performance.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers and sustainability consultants across the design process.
• Prepare clear technical outputs and present findings to project teams and clients.
• Continue developing knowledge in building performance and energy modelling.
