Job summary

Whitbread, the company behind Premier Inn, is seeking an Energy Manager to lead our energy management strategy across the UK estate. You will drive projects to reduce costs, optimise utility consumption and support our net zero commitments.

You will work with Operations, Property, Finance and Procurement to implement standards, manage budgets and external consultants, delivering high-value energy and carbon reduction across multi-site hotels.

Qualifications

• Experience in energy management, utilities management or property-related environments.
• Experience working within a large multi-site organisation.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills.
• Commercially minded with the ability to balance sustainability objectives with financial returns.
• Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.

Responsibilities

• Identifying, trialling and evaluating emerging technologies to create a pipeline of future energy and carbon savings opportunities for our Hotels.
• Managing energy budgets, utility contracts and supplier relationships to drive value and performance.
• Working closely with Operations, Property, Finance and Procurement teams to improve energy performance across the UK estate.
• Developing standards for mechanical and electrical services to ensure future developments are optimised for energy and carbon efficiency.
• Managing external consultants, contractors and project managers delivering high-value energy and carbon reduction projects.
