Competitive starting salary range from £43,030 up to £49,104 per annum (dependent upon experience) with the potential to progress. A discretionary range for candidates with exceptional experience can be discussed/considered.

We are looking for a proactive Energy Manager who can deliver energy cost management and generate carbon reduction schemes that will contribute to the Coventry University Group target of Net Zero Carbon by 2030.
Working with the Deputy Head of Sustainability – Decarbonisation, you will actively seek new projects, efficiency schemes, and embrace innovation in energy and carbon management and implement this on-site. This is an exciting opportunity for anyone who likes to actively embrace innovation and translate these into results, as well as working with maintenance colleagues, project teams, and others across the Group to find ways to improve current practice.
The Group Decarbonisation Plan is central to this role and outlines our strategic commitments to ensuring we are reducing emissions across a large and diverse organisation.
To be successful in this role, you will need an appropriate degree-level qualification or equivalent relevant experience. Experience in evaluating and implementing renewables, including production of business cases and feasibility assessments, is essential. You will have demonstrable performance in leading and enhancing energy management in a large and complex organisation.
You will need knowledge and experience of low/zero carbon technologies and the application of no/low carbon specifications for building projects. Experience of delivering carbon reduction programmes within a large, diverse organisation, with specialist knowledge of energy markets and utilities financial management, is required.
Experience in identifying energy and carbon efficiency projects and detailed knowledge of legislative requirements relating to energy and carbon is also necessary.
