Job summary

Astute People is seeking a Shift Team Leader for an Energy from Waste power station in Gloucester. The role offers a salary up to £68,000 with a competitive benefits package as part of a leading UK energy group.

We are looking for an experienced DCS Operator or ASTL ready for the next step, capable of directing a shift team, managing incidents, and ensuring regulatory and environmental compliance. A day/night shift pattern is expected.

Qualifications

• Extensive operational experience in power generation, energy from waste or similar plants.
• A strong understanding of health and safety legislation and environmental compliance.
• Experience working under permit to work systems and formal safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate shift operations to ensure safe, reliable plant performance.
• Take delegated responsibility for out-of-hours site operations.
• Issue and cancel safety documentation per site rules.
