Job summary

MC Technical Recruitment is recruiting a Mechanical Technician on behalf of a leading Power business, based in Exeter. You will join the mechanical maintenance team to maximise long-term reliability and availability of a large industrial plant.

The role covers planned and reactive maintenance, with a 40-hour week Mon-Fri and a 1 in 4 callout, contributing to maintenance plans and working with external contractors where required.

Qualifications

• Experience performing planned and unplanned maintenance in heavy industrial or power environments.
• Sound knowledge of mechanical repair methods and equipment used in heavy plants.
• Familiarity with Permit to Work and Safe System of Work processes.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out planned preventative and reactive mechanical maintenance activities.
• Diagnosing faults and ensuring plant equipment is maintained to a high standard.
• Supporting plant reliability and availability through effective maintenance practices.
• Working within Permit to Work and Safe Systems of Work procedures including plant isolations.
