Energy and Carbon Consultant - Carbon Architecture

We collaborate closely with clients to understand their goals and ESG challenges, offering feasibility studies with comprehensive cost-benefit analyses to balance resilience and carbon reduction.

As our business expands, we seek an Energy & Carbon Consultant in London. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a passionate engineer to join a successful team, focusing on engineering solutions, site audits, and building decarbonization via renewable and low-carbon technologies. You will identify, manage, and deliver energy and process efficiency projects across various sectors, utilizing our proprietary analytics tools like InMetriks to assist clients in reducing their environmental impact.

How will you be the change?

Every role is vital in delivering peace of mind to our customers. As an Energy and Carbon Consultant, you will:

  • Manage projects individually or collaboratively to ensure timely, budget-conscious, and quality delivery
  • Conduct site audits, ensuring H&S compliance, and communicate findings effectively
  • Work with site contacts to identify and implement improvements
  • Support product development alongside Senior and Principal Consultants
  • Maintain ongoing client communication to ensure satisfaction and trust
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure project progress
  • Provide technical support on various projects, including SECR, ESOS, Action Plans, and others
  • Assist business development efforts by identifying new opportunities and supporting existing clients
  • Train team members on relevant subjects to enhance collective knowledge
  • Contribute to management information collection and reporting
What does it take?

If you're ready to drive change as an Energy and Carbon Consultant, you should have:

  • Proven experience delivering sustainability, process improvement, or cost efficiency projects
  • Experience in energy and water management at various site types
  • Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences
  • An engineering or relevant technical degree, working towards or holding chartership
  • Strong analytical skills with experience interpreting complex data
  • Project management skills ensuring high-quality service
  • Excellent communication skills across various formats
  • Knowledge of technical drawings and building energy systems
  • Problem-solving skills and good time management
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Minimum 3 years' relevant work experience in a sustainability role
  • Experience as a trusted advisor in a B2B consultancy environment
  • Experience programming and configuring BMS systems and applying Lean Six Sigma
Working arrangements
