Energy and Carbon Consultant - Carbon Architecture

We focus on understanding clients' business goals, growth potential, and ESG challenges, offering feasibility studies with cost-benefit analyses to balance resilience and carbon reduction.

As our business grows, we are hiring an Energy & Carbon Consultant in London. This role involves engineering solutions, site audits, and decarbonization of buildings via renewable and low-carbon solutions. You will identify, manage, and deliver energy and process efficiency projects across various sectors, utilizing our online analytics tools like InMetriks to support client efficiency and carbon footprint reduction.

How will you be the change?

Every role is vital in providing peace of mind to our customers. As an Energy and Carbon Consultant, you will:

• Manage projects to ensure timely, within-budget delivery of high-quality outcomes.
• Conduct site audits considering H&S compliance across sectors like retail, offices, catering, and manufacturing.
• Collaborate with site contacts to identify improvement opportunities.
• Support product development alongside Senior and Principal Consultants.
• Maintain ongoing client communication to ensure satisfaction and trust.
• Work with internal and external teams to ensure project progress and timely delivery.
• Provide technical support on projects related to SECR, ESOS, Action Plans, Net Zero Roadmaps, and other energy management standards.
• Assist business development efforts by identifying new opportunities and supporting existing clients.
• Enhance team knowledge through training and sharing expertise.
• Support management information collection through timesheets and trackers.

What does it take?

If you’re ready to drive our business forward as an Energy and Carbon Consultant, you will need:

• Proven experience in delivering sustainability, process improvement, or cost efficiency projects.
• Experience in energy and water management at manufacturing and retail/commercial sites.
• Ability to communicate technical information effectively to non-technical clients.
• An engineering or relevant technical degree, working towards or already chartered.
• Strong analytical skills for interpreting complex data and reporting findings.
• Good project management skills ensuring high-quality service delivery.
• Excellent communication skills across verbal, visual, and written formats.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and understand building energy systems.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a sustainability role within a relevant sector.
• Experience in a B2B consultancy role as a trusted advisor.
• Knowledge of BMS programming and Lean Six Sigma application.

Working arrangements
