Job summary

TeacherActive is seeking enthusiastic Nursery Assistants to join multiple nurseries across Trafford on a temporary basis. You will support children aged 6 months to 4 years, model calm, engaging behaviour and help children feel safe and eager to learn.

The role involves small-group care, play-based learning, and developing early communication and social skills with guidance and support provided. SEND experience is desirable but not essential.

Qualifications

• A genuine passion for supporting young children during early development.
• Caring, patient and positive role model for children.
• Confidence in managing groups of children and promoting positive behaviour.
• Understanding of learning through play and EYFS concepts.

Responsibilities

• Manage small groups of children and support their activity and learning.
• Promote positive behaviour and create a calm, engaging environment.
• Deliver play-based activities that develop communication, social, cognitive and motor skills.
