A leading staffing agency in the UK is seeking an Energetic Materials Technician for a 12-month contract. You will assist in the manufacture and testing of energetic materials while ensuring high safety standards. The role requires a recognized science qualification and good practical skills in a laboratory environment. This position offers £26.84 per hour umbrella (Inside IR35).

Qualifications

  • Recognized science qualification to minimum A-Level/HND/HNC, preferably with knowledge of chemistry.

Overview

Energetic Materials Technician — 12 months — GBP26.84ph umbrella (Inside IR35).

An Energetics Materials Technician is required to support a broad range of activities within the BAE Systems Land UK business. The selected candidate will support new technology development projects for future energetic materials and support product and process development in small, medium and high volume environments. Working as part of the Engineering and Technology teams, the role will ensure that our products meet exacting quality and performance requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with the Engineering and Technology Teams at BAE Systems Land UK in the small-scale manufacture and testing of energetic materials.
  • Support Energetic Material/Process subject matter experts by providing energetic material advice and support.
  • Take reasonable care of own health and safety and maintain high standards for safety, health and environment (SHE) in the organisation.
  • Co-operate with and follow all reasonable instructions, information and training; report work-related hazards or incidents; use equipment for the purpose intended.
  • Promote risk awareness, ensure risks are assessed and adequately controlled, and encourage reporting of incidents and defects to improve SHE standards.
  • Support the implementation of Company Health & Safety Policy (759/OF/016) and Environmental Policy (759/OF/029).
Qualifications
