Job summary

Gamlingay Village Primary is seeking a dedicated Playworker to join our wraparound provision, Roosters, providing before and after-school care for our pupils. This permanent, part-time role offers 19.75 hours per week during term time with two training days in September and October, and starts as soon as possible.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care and supervision for children attending Roosters.
• Create a safe, engaging environment for play and learning.
• Organise and lead activities including games, crafts, sports and outdoor play.
• Build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues.
• Encourage positive behaviour and support children's wellbeing.
• Collaborate with Roosters team and school staff.
• Ensure sessions are safe, happy and fully engaging for all children.
• Promote the school values of Respect, Aspire and Grow.
