Job summary

Arnold Clark Automobiles is seeking an IT technical specialist based in Glasgow to support Windows and Mac OS desktops, iOS and Android devices. You will manage patching, deployment, and vulnerability remediation, using SCCM and Intune alongside other tools.

You will help keep asset registers accurate and assist in reporting and testing across diverse environments. The role emphasizes teamwork, self-motivation and a customer-focused approach, with a 9-5 schedule on weekdays and competitive

Qualifications

• Experience with SCCM/Configuration Manager is required.
• Some understanding of Intune/Endpoint Manager.
• Knowledge of Windows and/or Mac OS operating systems.

Responsibilities

• Support Windows Desktop OS, Mac OS, iOS and Android estates as part of a team.
• Patch management, deployment, remediation and desktop support tasks.
• Maintain asset registers, generate reports and assist asset management.
• Investigate and diagnose customer issues, escalate when needed.
• Configure software packages via SCCM, Intune and other tools.
• Install and manage operating systems and office software across environments.
• Create and run functional tests; ensure configurations meet quality standards.
• Monitor configuration, compliance and application performance.

Salary: £33,000 - 73,000 per year

Requirements

• Demonstrable experience with SCCM/Configuration Manager
• Some understanding of Intune / Endpoint Manager
• Some understanding of operating systems, including at least one of Windows and Mac OS
• Some understanding of mobile devices and their use within an organisation

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a team responsible for Windows Desktop operating systems, Mac OS, iOS and Android estate
• Carry out OS and application patch management, configuration and compliance management, vulnerability remediation, software packaging, deployment and removal, and desktop support
• Use tools to maintain an accurate asset register, produce reports and assist in asset management activitiesPerform initial investigation and diagnosis of customer issues, resolving them where possible or escalating as needed
• Configure and support software packages through SCCM, Intune and other tools, ensuring patches and software are deployed effectively
• Install, manage and maintain operating systems, data management, office automation and utility software across various environments
• Carry out functional testing to ensure effective configuration of OS and applications
• Assist in creating test cases, setting up test environments and executing functional tests
• Ensure deployed configurations meet quality standards by identifying quality issues, performing reviews and recommending improvements
• Configure OS environments and software packages, and monitor compliance and application performance
