Job summary

Bath Acute Hospital invites applications for an Endoscopy Lead to oversee the endoscopy and decontamination suite within an experienced team. You will be responsible for daily management, ensuring high standards and staff development.

The role requires RGN or ODP with NMC/HCPC registration, and at least two years as a Senior Endoscopy Practitioner, with leadership on JAG accreditation and decontamination processes in a supportive MDT.

Qualifications

• RGN or ODP with appropriate NMC/HCPC registration as applicable.
• At least two years in a Senior Endoscopy Practitioner post with a good range of Endoscopy clinical skills
• Experienced in taking charge of the suite; managing and motivating team members
• Experienced in the processes of JAG accreditation
• Experience and knowledge of decontamination and requirements of national standards

Responsibilities

• be responsible and accountable for the daily management of the endo and decontamination suite, managing a wide range of priorities, including staff management.
• ensure the JAG accreditation standards are met, British Society of Gastroenterology (BSG) guidance, and the National and Local decontamination guidance is followed.
• perform the tasks of preassessment and endoscopy assistant during procedures (sedation and GA), when required, in collaboration with other members of the MDT.
• be responsible for the professional development of the endoscopy team and overall work performance.
