Job summary

Birmingham Community Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the Endoscopy team at our Birmingham site. The role supports patients before, during and after endoscopy, helping to deliver high-quality care in a specialist environment.

You will assess and implement care plans, participate in decontamination and equipment handling, and contribute to audits and service development.

Qualifications

• Current registration with the NMC and an active PIN.
• Experience working in an endoscopy setting is required.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to engage with patients and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Support patients before, during, and after diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy procedures.
• Participate in decontamination, traceability, maintenance, and safe handling of endoscopes and equipment.
• Contribute to clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and service development activities.
• Provide guidance to junior colleagues, healthcare support workers, and students.
