Job summary

Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust’s Endoscopy Unit in Norwich is seeking Registered Nurses to join a large, multidisciplinary team. The role rotates between the main site and Quadram Institute, with hours 8:00–18:30, and on-call 2–3 times monthly.

No routine night or weekend shifts, and opportunities for training and development abound. You will work across 13 procedure rooms, contribute to therapeutic and diagnostic endoscopy, and support training of junior staff

Qualifications

• Registered nurse with post-registration experience in acute care.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Compassion, empathy and commitment to patient-centred care.
• Ability to prioritise tasks and manage a busy workload.

Responsibilities

• Assess, prepare, and care for patients before, during, and after endoscopy procedures.
• Administer medications and assist with sedation per local protocols.
• Monitor patient condition and respond to changes promptly.
• Maintain accurate records and support junior staff training.
• Ensure infection control, health and safety, and clinical governance compliance.
