Job summary

The Endoscopy Centre at The Wellington Hospital in London is looking for an Endoscopy ODP / Staff Nurse. You will work in a JAG-accredited private centre with state-of-the-art endoscopic technology, supporting Consultants and the clinical team across diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.

You will monitor patients, participate in the on-call rota, and help manage resources to ensure smooth daily operations while advancing your endoscopy skills within a leading healthcare provider.

Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse or ODP (Operating Department Practitioner) with current NMC or HCPC registration.
  • Endoscopy experience with ENB qualification or equivalent endoscopy practice.
  • Knowledge of healthcare policies, procedures and safety requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills in a busy clinical environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Consultants during endoscopic procedures ensuring safe, effective patient care.
  • Monitor and interpret patient observations throughout the pathway.

As London’s first private JAG accredited centre for gastrointestinal endoscopy, the department is recognised for delivering high standards of patient care and clinical practice. With 12 purpose built recovery bays and access to advanced endoscopic technology, the service supports the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of conditions affecting the digestive system. This is an opportunity to join a collaborative team where your expertise will be valued and where you’ll be supported to continue developing your specialist skills.As an Endoscopy ODP / Staff Nurse in the Endoscopy Centre, you’ll be part of a team dedicated to delivering safe, effective and compassionate care throughout every stage of the patient journey. Working across a broad range of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, you’ll collaborate closely with Consultants, colorectal clinical nurse specialists and experienced endoscopy colleagues.
