Sulis Hospital Bath is recruiting a Registered Nurse to join the Endoscopy Team on a fixed-term contract. This 30-hour per week role is based in Bath, requires DBS clearance, and NMC/HCPC registration with current CPD in Endoscopy.

Responsibilities

• Set, monitor and maintain high standards of nursing care in the Endoscopy Unit.
• Provide technical assistance during diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures.
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records.
• Administer drugs in accordance with established guidelines.
• Assist with the care and maintenance of endoscopes and related equipment.
• Support patient discharge from the Endoscopy Unit.
• Contribute to local handling of complaints and maintain patient comfort.

Are you a highly motivated Registered Nurse or ODP and have the drive, ambition and commitment to deliver the highest standards of patient care?
Sulis Hospital, a leading healthcare provider in Somerset, has an opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Endoscopy Team on a Fixed Term contract.
You will provide excellent nursing care, and to actively participate in and contribute to the management in the Endoscopy Unit. Participate in the maintenance of endoscopes and other specialised equipment used in endoscopic and non-endoscopic procedures and provide technical assistance during such procedures.
Within the role you will demonstrate your ability to.

• Set, monitor and maintain excellent standards of nursing care working within company policies and procedures
• Provide technical assistance during diagnostic and therapeutic Endoscopic procedures, ensuring safe working practice.
• Ensure a friendly environment, maintaining personal contact with patients and relatives, being sensitive to their needs for courtesy, dignity and privacy
• Maintain timely and accurate patient records and ensuring confidentiality
• Store, check and administer drugs in accordance with established standards and guidelines
• Work with minimal supervision during endoscopic procedures, admission and recovery of patients and other related procedures
• Contribute to the local resolution, investigation and follow up action of any informal or formal complaints.
• Participate in the care and maintenance of endoscopes and other specialised equipment, ensuring agreed standard of decontamination including accurate records of traceability of all endoscopes and associated equipment.
• Ensure the safe discharge of all patients from the Endoscopy unit.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment within the clinical area
