Job summary

Ashford and St. Peters Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking enthusiastic nurses and support workers to join the Endoscopy Unit on a maternity secondment for 12 months. The team offers a supportive environment with development opportunities and practice development for experienced nurses.

The unit operates from 8am to 7pm, seven days a week, with exposure to a wide range of procedures and professional development opportunities within a dynamic hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Nurses with or without relevant experience for Endoscopy Unit.
• Enthusiastic, independent and committed professionals welcomed.
• Opportunity to participate in out-of-hours rota and complex procedures.

Responsibilities

• Act as a role model and demonstrate leadership in clinical areas.
• Support ongoing professional development for staff and students.
• Assist Head of Nursing to maintain a positive working environment.
• Participate in Emergency Out of hours rota.
• Develop effective relationships with patients, carers and multidisciplinary team.
• Collaborate with Locum Doctors, Nurses and product specialists as needed.
• Contribute to achieving Trust vision and key programmes.
• Provide high-quality care in Endoscopy Unit and manage practice areas.
