Nuffield Health The Holly Hospital invites an experienced Endoscopy Lead Practitioner/Nurse to join the Theatre team. You will hold NMC or HCPC registration and lead the Endoscopy Unit, driving infection control, patient safety and JAG reaccreditation processes.

You will oversee procedures including OGD and colonoscopy, support in therapeutic interventions, and ensure meticulous documentation and compliance with hospital policies.

Qualifications

• NMC or HCPC registration is required.
• Strong leadership experience in a clinical setting.
• Excellent infection control and patient safety knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Support the Theatre Manager in running the Endoscopy Unit and drive quality improvements.
• Coordinate activity and ensure patient care and safety.
• Possess expert knowledge of endoscopic procedures (OGD, colonoscopy, therapeutics).
• Assist in preparation and delivery of endoscopic procedures.

As an Endoscopy Lead Practitioner/Nurse at The Holly Hospital, you will be either NMC or HCPC registered you will have the relevant qualifications and substantive post-registration experience in the care of patients within Endoscopy, demonstrating excellent leadership skills to allow you to most effectively lead our team. Strong knowledge of infection control and patient safety protocols and a working knowledge of JAG and Endoscopy Decontamination are essential. You will be capable of leading the unit through the JAG re-accreditation process so preparation, maintenance and ongoing compliance are a must have too!

As a Endoscopy Lead Practitioner/Nurse, you will:

• Support the Theatre Manager in the efficient running of the Endoscopy Unit, inspections and quality improvement initiatives.
• Co-ordinate activity and be responsible for patient care and safety
• Have expert knowledge of endoscopic procedures including OGD, Colonoscopy and therapeutic procedures such as BRAVO capsule, Upper and Lower GI Dilatation and Stenting, Banding and Botox injections
• Assist in the preparation and delivery of endoscopic procedures
• Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to infection control standards
• Provide clinical support and guidance to patients throughout their journey
• Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with hospital policies
