Job summary

CHEC is seeking an Endoscopy Lead Practitioner to support the hospital manager in governing the Endoscopy Department and delivering high standards of care. The role involves guiding the team, contributing to CHEC’s endoscopy strategy, and ensuring JAG accreditation is supported.

Applicants should have NMC/HCPC registration, and prior management experience in Endoscopy. The role requires flexibility to cover variable days and weekends, with a permanent, full-time contract.

Qualifications

• Registered practitioner with the NMC or HCPC.
• At least 1-year experience as registered practitioner in Endoscopy service.
• Experience with JAG accreditation.
• Educated to degree level or equivalent.
• Previous management or team leader experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage the endoscopy service to deliver high-quality patient-centred care.
• Plan and provide care across the endoscopy pathway.
• Maintain a safe environment and address patient-safety issues.
• Provide specialist advice and support when required.
• Ensure equipment and resources are available for sessions.
