Job summary

18 Week Support are seeking motivated and compassionate Endoscopy Healthcare Assistants (HCAs) to support our Endoscopy services across Hampshire. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dedicated multidisciplinary team delivering high-quality patient care throughout the endoscopy pathway.

As an Endoscopy HCA, you will play a key role in supporting patients before, during, and after diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures, while assisting the wider clinical team to ensure safe and

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months experience working as an Endoscopy HCA in the last 12 months.
• NHS experience is essential.
• Local candidates within 50 miles of Hampshire preferred.
• Strong understanding of endoscopy environments and patient pathways.
• Flexible and adaptable approach to service requirements.

Responsibilities

• Support patients throughout their endoscopy journey, ensuring comfort and dignity at all times
• Assist Nurses and Endoscopists during endoscopic procedures including gastroscopy, colonoscopy, bronchoscopy, and ERCP
• Prepare clinical areas, equipment, and stock in line with infection prevention and control standards
• Undertake patient observations and provide general patient care within the unit
• Ensure accurate documentation and maintain high standards of patient safety
• Work collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team to deliver an efficient and patient-focused service
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised clinical environment
