Job summary

Powys Teaching Health Board seeks an Endoscopy Practitioner to join the Day Surgery and Endoscopy Units at Brecon and Llandrindod Hospital. You will assist endoscopists during procedures and provide comprehensive patient care before, during and after the endoscopy.

You will admit and discharge patients, upholding safety and dignity while coordinating with the multidisciplinary team to ensure smooth patient pathways across Powys hospitals.

Qualifications

• Registration with NMC/HCPC and current professional development.
• Experience in endoscopy or gastroenterology nursing.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills in a clinical setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Endoscopist during procedures and support patients pre, during and post-procedure.
• Admit and discharge patients and manage post-discharge pathways.
• Maintain patient safety, dignity and high standards of care in all endoscopy activities.
• Coordinate with Outpatients, visiting Endoscopists, Consultants and anaesthetists.
• Ensure continuity of patient pathways via liaison with relevant departments.
