Job description

The post holder will manage the Endoscopy administration service, ensuring efficient operational management and performance of the elective admission function, and achieving local waiting time targets for inpatient and day case care across the Trust and Outreach Centres.

They will manage the booking office team and reception staff, providing guidance and advice, fostering a culture of collaboration, and contributing to the overall efficiency and performance of the team and service. The post holder will embed good working practices to ensure a positive patient experience.

The role involves overseeing administrative and clerical processes to deliver a high-quality, patient-focused service. They will coordinate activities to maintain the unit's JAG accreditation.

Working independently with significant initiative, the post holder will assist and deputise for the Endoscopy Scheduling and Audit Manager, adhering to the Trust’s Confidentiality Policy.

The post involves supporting a high-quality booking service within the Endoscopy Department across the Trust and Outreach Centres. Effective communication with patients, relatives, the public, and multi-professional staff is essential.
