Job summary

Optima UK Inc Ltd in Stafford Park, Telford, is seeking a Payroll HR Officer to manage end-to-end UK payroll and HR administration. You will work with the HR Manager to ensure accurate, timely pay and compliant records across payroll systems.

Qualifications

• Proven experience processing end-to-end UK payroll.
• Experience calculating statutory payments and RTI submissions.
• Strong knowledge of PAYE, National Insurance, pensions and holiday pay rules.
• Experience using payroll software.
• Good Excel skills, including lookups and pivots.
• High accuracy and attention to detail.
• Able to meet fixed payroll deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Process weekly and monthly payrolls for hourly and shift-based staff.
• Input overtime, premiums, bonuses and timesheets.
• Handle starters, leavers and pay changes.
• Calculate statutory payments and holiday pay.
• Submit RTI to HMRC and manage PAYE/National Insurance.
• Administer pension auto-enrolment and student loans.
• Complete year-end tasks and P60s; support P11D.
• Respond to employee payroll queries.
• Maintain HR and payroll records; onboarding docs; right-to-work checks.
• Monitor absence and holidays and flag triggers to management.
