Job summary

A London robotics company is seeking a software engineer who can own software across the full stack: perception, estimation, control, and the code that runs on real hardware.

You will join an interdisciplinary team, take concepts from proof of concept through prototype to trials, and collaborate with external partners to move towards real-world deployment. Strong motivation and readiness to learn are valued as much as demonstrated boxes.

Qualifications

• Degree in robotics, electrical engineering, CS, maths or related field.
• Strong programming in C/C++/Rust and Python.
• Experience with computer vision, object detection or tracking.
• Hands-on state estimation and sensor fusion (Kalman, SLAM).
• Knowledge of sensor modelling, especially cameras and distortion models.

Responsibilities

• Own software from proof of concept through prototype to trials.
• Integrate across robotics, machine learning and systems engineering.
• Collaborate with partners, suppliers and other stakeholders to move towards real-world deployment.
