Role Overview

The independent end-point assessor (IEA) conducts holistic assessments of apprentices to ensure they meet employer standards and are fully competent. The assessments are conducted onsite, with outcomes recorded and justified, and are quality assured by Pearson.

Key Accountabilities
  • Participate in training and standardisation activities
  • Maintain evidence of CPD
  • Assess candidates according to published criteria
  • Follow Pearson’s specifications and protocols
  • Respond to EPA planning and operational activities
  • Report risks and issues, including malpractice
  • Ensure high-quality assessment reports
  • Support Pearson with appeals
  • Raise conflicts of interest
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and external quality assurance
Person Specification

This role is in high-performance, community, or school sports coaching environments. It involves designing and delivering coaching programs to engage and develop participants.

Essential Background & Experience
  • At least 2 years of relevant occupational competence
  • Knowledge of coaching areas
  • Level 4 qualification or higher
