Job Description:

The End Point Assessor role involves conducting holistic assessments of apprentices' Knowledge, Skills, and Behaviours (KSBs) to ensure they meet industry standards and are fully competent. As an independent assessor, you will evaluate apprentices without conflicts of interest, conducting assessments onsite, recording outcomes, and supporting Pearson’s quality assurance processes.

Key Accountabilities:

• Participate in training and standardisation activities
• Maintain evidence of ongoing CPD
• Assess candidate performance according to published criteria
• Follow Pearson’s assessment protocols and quality assurance procedures
• Respond to EPA planning, operational activities, and report submissions
• Report risks, issues, and suspected malpractices
• Ensure high-quality assessment evidence and records
• Support appeals and raise conflicts of interest
• Contribute to continuous improvement and external quality assurance activities

Person Specification:

The role of the network cable installer includes installing, terminating, testing, and certifying network infrastructure components in line with industry standards, supporting digital communication and cybersecurity. Work may be required in Inside Plant (ISP) or Outside Plant (OSP) environments.

Background and Experience (essential):

• Occupational competence in cable installation
• Minimum 5 years experience in Network Infrastructure
• Recent relevant experience at a level above the apprentice
• Training and certification in practical aspects of the apprenticeship standard
• Knowledge of industry legislation, standards, and developments
• Assessors qualification or working towards it (A1, TAQA)
• Experience in leading meetings and ensuring quality assurance
• Commitment to CPD

Background and Experience (desirable):

• Internal quality assurance qualification
• Experience making grading judgments
• Knowledge of safeguarding, health & safety, legal frameworks, and industry products
• Technical knowledge of tools, equipment, and processes
• Ability to assess impartially and report risks
• Ability to meet deadlines
