Job summary

Connect Appointments is recruiting a Quality Control Inspector for a long-established commercial vehicle manufacturer in Dunfermline. The role offers a salary of £33,000–£50,000 per year, with a £2,500 attendance bonus after probation and a full-time permanent contract.

You will perform final inspections before vehicles leave the line, verify builds against specifications, and raise issues with production teams to ensure quality is maintained throughout the build process.

Qualifications

• Experience in a quality inspection role within vehicle manufacturing or engineering.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Methodical approach with strong attention to detail.
• Confidence to raise and resolve quality issues directly with production teams.
• Basic IT skills for recording inspection results.

Responsibilities

• Carry out final inspections on completed vehicles before sign-off.
• Check builds against drawings, customer specifications and quality standards.
• Identify and record defects, then follow them through to rectification with the build teams.
• Complete inspection documentation and maintain accurate quality records.
• Feeding recurring faults back into production to stop them repeating.
