Job summary

British Engineering Services Group is seeking an Enabling Works Supervisor for the rail environment to supervise enabling works and support the Enabling Works Manager in delivering structural examinations. You will lead site tasks, ensure SSOW documentation, and deliver works safely in line with the Contract Specification.

You'll need recent railway/site experience, a full UK driving licence, and proficiency with Word and Excel, plus strong customer relationships.

• Proficient in using Microsoft Office applications including Word and Excel.
• Proven ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.

Responsibilities

• Supervise enabling works reconnaissance and delivery including tasks listed.
• Capture site condition pre and post work in a factual report-driven manner.
• Lead and record close calls and report through appropriate systems.
• Work with Planning Team to ensure SSOW documentation and safety resources are in place.
• Deliver works safely in accordance with Contract Specification and programme.

Using specialist access techniques such as rope access, diving and confined space working, their expert engineers inspect structures including bridges,tunnelsand culverts,providingreliable insight to help asset owners manage risk andmaintainsafety.

What will you be doing?

As an Enabling Works SupervisorforXEIAD, part ofBritish Engineering Services Group,you will support the delivery of structural examinations (mainly inthe Rail environment) by supervising enabling works as directed by the Enabling Works Manager

You willalso:

• Supervise a variety of enabling works reconnaissance and works delivery including (but not limited to) brush cutting, hedge trimming, clearing debris from bridge bearings, removal of advertisement hoardings, CCTV, brickwork removal/reinstatement, fence removal/re-instatement, de-watering and installing portable dams in accordance with company values
• Capture site condition pre and post work in a factual report-driven manner
• Lead/ promote and record close calls asidentifiedand report throughappropriate systems
• Work closely with the Planning Team to ensure that all SSOW documentation, track access and safety critical resource requirements are in place to deliver the programme
• Deliver works safely andin accordance withthe Contract Specification and programme of works. Ensuring that the team follow the Company Process & Procedures whilst adhering to the Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental Standards
