Job summary

Gloucestershire County Council is seeking two full-time Enablement Coordinators for the Supported Accommodation Service under the Mental Health Social Work Service. The roles are fixed-term for 12 months and focus on building daily living skills, promoting choice, tenancy sustainment and community links within a supported living setting.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with individuals who need support to achieve outcomes, particularly independent living, wellbeing or tenancy sustainment.
• Evidence of good interpersonal skills and ability to build positive working relationships with people using the service, colleagues and partner agencies.
• Awareness of the UK benefits system would be desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical, person-centred support to individuals living in supported accommodation.
• Support planning and collaboration with housing providers, health professionals and community partners to ensure coordinated, effective support.
• Assist people to develop skills and confidence to manage day-to-day living and maintain accommodation.
