Sushi Gourmet in Northwich is seeking a Chef Manager to lead the on-site team at Sainsbury's. You will manage kitchen operations, uphold food safety, and ensure high-quality, sustainable meals. The role requires starting early and maintaining brand standards across all shifts.

Job Description

Sushi Gourmet is recruiting a full-time (35 hours) Chef Manager to come and lead our team in Sushi Gourmet - Northwich, Sainsbury's, Venables Road, Northwich, CW9 5RT

And have:

Experience in leading people, who can build confidence and capability in your team enabling them to succeed
Ready to work in a fast-paced environment whilst always leading by example
Pride in your work, constantly looking for ways to improve and continually learning
A good understanding of Food Safety & Health and Safety regulations, ability to follow brand standards and comply with company policies.
Reliable transportation for your commute to work early in the morning

And can:

Be accountable for the Kiosk and the team, maintaining audit standards for food and health & safety compliance while meeting EHO expectations
Ensuring the team maintains a high standard of cleanliness and food safety on site to maintain a safe environment for our customers, our clients and ourselves
Highly organised, with a focus on forward planning
Prepare fresh ingredients by hand, including meat and raw fish products each shift
Accurately labelling products ensuring lawful compliance around food safety and allergen compliance each shift.
Be a skilled multitasker
An early riser as shifts can start at 6:00am some days
Learn new skills or improve skills already mastered

Qualifications

Level 2 Food Safety certificate, HACCP, Allergens and COSHH are Desirable although not essential as full training will be provided.
