Job summary

Sushi Gourmet is recruiting a Sushi Chef on a part-time basis (18 hours per week) for morning shifts at Sainsbury’s kiosk in Preston. You will prepare fresh ingredients, label items correctly, and maintain high standards of cleanliness and customer service.

Ideal candidates are enthusiastic, reliable and able to work both in a team or alone while upholding safety and quality standards. Training and progression opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Customer-focused with a can-do attitude.
• Knowledge of Food Safety and Health & Safety regulations.
• Able to follow brand standards and company policies.

Responsibilities

• Prepare fresh ingredients by hand, including meat and raw fish.
• Label products accurately and ensure allergen compliance.
• Maintain high cleanliness and safety standards in the work area.
• Work early morning shifts starting at 6am when required.
• Assist with other duties to support team performance.

• A good understanding of Food Safety & Health and Safety regulations, ability to follow brand standards and comply with company policies.
• Reliable transportation for your commute to work early in the morning

And able to:

• Prepare fresh ingredients by hand, including meat and raw fish products each shift
• Accurately labelling products ensuring lawful compliance around food safety and allergen compliance each shift.
• Be a skilled Multitasker in a fast-paced environment
• Able to clean the workspace and storerooms as required
• Be organised
• Maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and safe environment for our customers, our clients and ourselves.
• An early riser as shifts can start at 6am some days
• Learn new skills or improve skills already mastered
